Mauro Colagreco Bio

Mauro Colagreco, an Italian argentine chef was born in La Plata, Argentine on October 5, 1976. He studied at Buenos Aires in Gate Dumas hotel school.

Initial Start of Career

Mauro Colagreco also worked with Alain Passard, Alain Ducasse, and Le Grand Véfour. He then established Mirazur in Menton, France in 2006. Colagreco received Revelation of the Year award just six months after the opening of Mirazur from Gault & Millau, so, apparently, it proved to be a great venture. Soon S.Pellegrine World’s 50 Best Restaurants listed Mirazur in the list of World’s best restaurants.

Achievements:

Mauro Colagreco imposed his contrasts of flavors and interpretation of ingredients which made him the first non-French to receive Chef of the Year award by Gault & Millau restaurant guide. In June 2019 World’s 50 Best Restaurants elected Mirazur as the World’s best restaurants. On receiving his award in his thank-you speech he said that;

“I have arrived in the first ten on the list which is extraordinary. It is the team’s reward for ten years of effort, passion, and evolution. This year I only hope to keep our place in the top ten because I know there are many incredible restaurants in the world that have their place in the top ten.”

Personal Life

Mauro Colagreco is keeping his personal life private. He jas not shared any details about his family and his siblings. But he is currently married to Julia Colagreco and they have no children yet.
