Elon Musk Successful Companies

Elon Reeve Musk is a South-African born American Entrepreneur who co-founded PayPal and Tesla Motors. He is also the founder of Space X. His exceptional skills made him a very successful multimillionaire in his late 20s.

Early Life:

Elon Musk was born in 1971 in Pretoria. His father was an engineer, and his mother was a Canadian model and a nutritionist. From childhood, Musk was very much interested in computers and technology that led him to create a videogame at the age of 12. In 1989, Musk left South Africa because he wanted to avoid South African compulsory military services, so he chose to study at Queen’s University in Canada.

In 1992, Musk got transferred to the University of Pennsylvania, where he get his bachelor’s degree in Physics and Economics. After this, he got admission in Stanford University, California, to pursue his Ph.D. degree in physics. But he left after few days because he believed that the internet has much more promising to give to him, and this entrepreneurial vision motivated him to launch Zip2, web software that provided online newspapers with maps and business directories.

PayPal:

After a massive success of zip2, Elon Musk and his brother Kimbal Musk invested all their money from the sale of Zip2 to found X.com. They later rebranded X.com as PayPal, an online payment transferring company. PayPal brought massive earning when eBay bought PayPal for $1.5 billion.

SpaceX:

In 2002, Musk founded Space Exploration Technologies, aka SpaceX, for creating more affordable and accessible rockets as compared to the other competing rockets. SpaceX was wholly established by 2008 by when NASA made a contract with Elon Musk to make SpaceX rockets as a transport for future astronauts. SpaceX rocked all over the news when they launched Falcon 9 rocket in space. Musk kept on adding new features and transforming Falcon series that made him remarkably known and successful. Soon, in 2018 SpaceX launched a set of satellite networks, Starlink, that make broadband services more accessible to rural areas.

Tesla Motors:

Musk always had a dream of electric cars, and in 2004, he became the co-founder and CEO of Tesla Motors that produces affordable electric cars as well as solar roofs. The roadster was the first car introduced by Tesla, which could travel 245 miles on a single charge. After this, Tesla motors introduced many other electric cars, e.g., Model S sedan, Model 3, Model X luxury SUV, etc.
